Oracle Database Administrator
Education and/or Special Training · Minimum bachelor's degree (B.S.)
in related field or equivalent. · 4-6 years related experience or
equivalent. · Must have a working knowledge of data modeling; database
administration problems and requirements; and database analysis and
design procedures, techniques, and implementation. · Proficient ·

working with Oracle RAC 10g and ASM highly desired. · Must have
significant knowledge with Oracle applications 11i and Oracle
Application server 10g. · Must have proficient UNIX/Linux skills. ·
Must have experience with RMAN and providing solutions for back-up and
recovery standards. · Knowledge of Oracle Internet Directory 10g,
Oracle Single Sign on, Oracle Portal and Provisioning Platform 10g and
Oracle Discoverer 10g are a plus. · Proven ability to handle multiple
projects and meet deadlines. · Creative, flexible, and innovative team
player. · Ability to work on complex projects with general direction
and minimal guidance. · Working knowledge and understanding of the
basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable
area of engineering/technical specialization. · Ability to deal
effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational

information. · Must be a self starter. Job Description Manages design,
development, implementation, and maintenance of database(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Reviews and analyzes database requirements;
develops detailed database design specifications to meet identified
requirements. · Reviews and analyzes user needs; determines equipment
and software requirements for solutions to problems. · Installs,
configures, maintains, and patches Oracle Applications Server
Components and databases. · Manages and implements database security
and user accounts. · Designs and implements backup and recovery
strategies. · Assists with the design and development of data models
as needed. · Assists with storage and capacity planning. · Assists
with the development and implementation of database standards and
methodologies. · Assists development team with SQL/PLSQL statement
tuning. · Researches, recommends, and implements all database software
upgrades. · On a daily basis analyzes and reports on database metrics;
administers and controls data resources; monitors and ensures database
integrity, security, and performance; and implements tools to improve
database performance. · Investigates and thoroughly understands
developments in database administration and computer technology. ·
Assists with training and problem solving as needed. · Performs other
