Portal/System Architect

Sierra Systems' Ottawa Branch has a current opportunity for an Oracle
Portal/System Architect.

Skills:

1. Minimum
a. Previous J2EE web application development experience
b. Previous system requirements documentation experience
c. Previous experience in creating infrastructure specifications for a
web application
d. Excellent written and oral communication skills
e. Technical leadership
f. Good understanding of OOAD and UML
g. Ability to learn quickly about a wide spectrum of technologies
h. Working knowledge of configuration management principles
2. Bonus
a. Previous experience on portal projects
b. Previous hands-on application development experience with Oracle
database and Oracle Application Server
c. Experience in developing a large scale system architecture
d. Ability to establish, manage and continuously improve a system's
construction process

Tasks:

1. Review functional requirements and provide feedback
2. Gather availability, security and performance requirements
3. Develop deployment diagrams for Oracle 10g Portal and Oracle
Collaboration Suite (OCS) solutions
4. Develop diagrams for use case realizations using OOAD tools and UML
5. Develop architecture documentation
6. Present architecture diagrams and concepts
7. Plan activities for Oracle 10g Portal and OCS deployments
