Programmer Analyst - Oracle

The primary role of this position is to design, develop and maintain
applications used to manage Biological and Pharmaceutical inventories.
Technical writing is required to document the application, database
scheme, user manuals, quality control documentation and responses to
requests for proposals.

Additionally, this position has the responsibility of providing end
user support for custom applications that are developed, as well as
commercial off-the-shelf software such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
The job also may include installing new hardware and software.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Develop applications using
Microsoft or Oracle development platforms Administration of Microsoft
and Oracle databases Support applications developed on Microsoft or
Oracle development platforms Gather user requirements and generate
documentation Follow SOPs and quality documentation practices Provide
training and guidance to users and Help Desk personnel. Provide
technical guidance to other IT staff members

Education/Training - Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer
Science, or other related technical discipline. Four years of
practical experience can be substituted for degree.

Business Experience - Minimum of 2-4 years experience working as a
developer utilizing Microsoft applications. Direct experience with
Oracle a plus.

Knowledge/Skills - Excellent technical, documentation, follow up, and
organizational skills. Ability to work independently and be a self-
starter.

1) Microsoft Visual Basic 6, and .NET

2) Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 2005

3) Oracle 9i

4) Oracle Forms and Reports 6i

5) Crystal Reports 9

6) Microsoft Office Applications

7) Good documentation/technical writing skills

Good interpersonal communication and customer support skills

Working Conditions - Office environment.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

Previous experience with Microsoft development platforms.
