Big Picture/Project Description:

Our client is a multi-billion dollar company in the Healthcare
Technology industry.This team supports their PACS system for companies
across the country and in Canada.

Challenge/Impact:
They are dealing with medical information- there is no margin for
error and maintaining quality and efficiency of scripts will be the
most crucial aspect of this position. This person will be joining an
existing team of about 7, but

Day to Day Responsibilities
-Customer support: troubleshooting/ bug fix
-Testing scripts: Databases will be brought in-house and will do
testing there, but testing will also be done at the customer site
-Ensure quality of data
-Performance Tuning- lots of it

Required Skills

- Minimum 5 to 8 years working experience in the design, development
and performance tuning of a large scale distributed database
-Needs to be very fluent in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle
-Performance tuning expertise
-Troubleshooting expertise
-Certified Oracle 9i/10g
- In-depth knowledge and working experience in administrating large
scale commercial and mission critical database
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge and working experience with the latest Oracle
database technology

Desired Skills
-Experience with Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
development environment
- Familiarity with healthcare information technology
-Certified Oracle Solution/Enterprise Developer
-Familiarity with software engineering practices, Rational Unified
Process and ISO 9001 quality standards
