Vancouver,Canada: Oracle Financials Functional Consultant

We are seeking an Oracle Financials Functional Consultant with
experience in the following modules to join our team to support our
clients Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) systems:
· General Ledger (GL)
· Purchasing/iProcurement (PO)
· Accounts Payable (AP)
· Accounts Receivables (AR)
· Cash Management (CE)
· Fixed Assets (FA)

Job Description
===========
· Coordinate Service Requests with Oracle Support (MetaLink) and
delegate DBA, Developer, and End User tasks to assist in correcting
issues
· Provide help desk support to clients on EBS
· Gather Business Requirements for new reports, interfaces,
conversions and extensions
· Recommend and assist in implementing Solutions based on those
requirements
· Communicating with Senior Management and End Users on issues and
progress
· Estimating and Obtaining Approvals for Service Requests
· Creating training materials and training end users
· Assist in implementation of new modules, upgrades, maintenance and
patching
· Creating and perform test scripts for changes and/or new modules
implemented
· Assist end-users with Month/Quarter/Year End Duties/Reporting
· Assist clients' Internal and External Auditors requests and
audits
· Document work performed as per client requirements
· Create ad-hoc Reports or data gathering using SQL, FSG or
Discoverer
· Modify setups and configuration of modules
· Administrative duties: enter timesheet into our Service Request
System.

Requirements
============
- Business, Computer Science Degree or Similar Discipline with at least
2 years
experience
- Strong Business Process Knowledge
- Very Strong Communications (oral and written) and Interpersonal
Skills
- Able to deal directly with Management Level and Executives to gather
business requirements, communicate progress, issue and change
management.
- Able to work well under pressure, tight timelines, and demanding
clients.
- Excellent Work Ethic, Works well alone and as a team player

Assets
=====
- Certified General Accountant
- Any Oracle Certifications
- Previous Consulting, Freelance, or help desk work experience
- Oracle Technical Skills such as SQL, Oracle Reports 6i, PL/SQL,
Discoverer, FSG
- Previous Implemenation Experience
- Previous SOX Compliance Experience with Information Systems
